I'll tell you a classic scene that many people have experienced (and I'm sure you and I are no exception).
“You wake up in the morning and you look in the mirror. You see those rolls that you hate, and that your legs are much wider than you would like. You open Instagram and see all those celebrity accounts where they come out with their ripped abs and toned legs. You realize you hate your body and decide it's time to do something (like 3 times this month). You take that apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach (which you hate, but you do it because you read that it burns fat) and then you eat 2 rice cookies with cheese. You know it's little, but the less you eat the better you feel. Your lunch is a green salad with a hard-boiled egg, and you force yourself to think that's enough. And when you get home in the afternoon; tired, hungry and irritable, you don't want to fight anymore and you eat everything you find on the way. You hate yourself for having "little willpower" and you feel like you've thrown in the towel again. And to top it off, while eating a chocolate bar, you keep looking at those photos on Instagram, thinking that you will only be happy when you look like those models.
Does this sound a bit familiar to you? Society and the media have put it into our heads that the thinner we look, the healthier we will be. But let me tell you something...
It isn't true! Health and our life in general is much more than just looking thin. And the change must start from within.
That is why self-love is one of the most important and determining factors to make real and lasting changes.
Understanding that you are beautiful with all your flaws is the most important thing. Because from there you will understand that you do not need to fit into the perfect measurements to be healthy and feel good. You will understand that being healthy is much deeper than a number on your scale.
And you will understand that many times, you need to make real changes to be well, feel good and be healthy.
When your real goal is to feel better about yourself and be able to enjoy life (freeing yourself from the chains that society has created for us), the changes you will make in your life will not be torture.
Learning to eat is very important, but learning to enjoy without guilt is even more important.
That is why my main invitation is that you look in the mirror and see all the good things you have and those things that you know are not good for you, it is time to change them! Take control of your life and become the protagonist.
And what do I mean by learning to eat?
* To look for foods that nourish us, that bring us benefits and that give us satisfaction.
* Be aware of which things are good for you and which are not, and take control by learning to eliminate those foods that are not good.
* Enjoy vegetable foods, incorporate them more into your day to day and feel how little by little your life is improving.
* Hydrate , water is life!
* Enjoy small pleasures and forget about guilt . There is nothing worse than blaming yourself for enjoying little things.
And finally! Find your balance. Find that point where you feel comfortable, good and happy.
These are the most sincere advice I can give you.
From all my heart
