Ingredients:
For the delicacy:
- 200g pitted dates soaked in hot water
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
- 1 pinch of salt
For the base:
- 20 Smartsnack Energyballs of the flavor of your choice (2 large packages)
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons of the water from soaking the dates
Chocolate:
- 250g chocolate without sugar 85% bitter
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Let the dates rest in hot water for at least 15 minutes. (Don't throw away the date water!)
- In a food processor or food processor, mix all the base ingredients. The idea is to obtain a soft and manageable mass.
- Cover a 20x20cm mold with butter paper and flatten the dough with a spatula or with your hands.
- Drain the water from the dates and prepare the date delicacy by mixing all the ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
- Spread the delicacy over the previous mixture and leave it in the freezer for 1 hour or until it is hard.
- Melt the chocolate along with the coconut oil in a bain-marie and spread over the mold.
- Once the chocolate hardens, cut the bars with a hot knife so they don't fall apart (you can heat it on the same stovetop fire).
